We don't do anything illegal. We ask you do the same. You are solely responsible for the legality of your activities, even if they are on our site. Any illegal activity will not be tolerated, and your membership will be revoked. However, funny stuff will be tolerated and is actually encouraged.
Joining rentoid is free.
In order to rent something you only need to join rentoid, them simply click on the contact details and call the owner of the item directly to organize things. Payment is made between the two parties. You don’t have to pay rentoid to rent things, just the person who owns the item.
To put your items up for rent there is a small fee $4.00 - it’s small change. It’s also a one time payment for as many rental transactions as your item demands. Turning $4.00 into $20… $100 or more…It’s a good investment. If you plan to list a few items we have an annual membership for $30 which allows you to put an unlimited number of items up for rent.
It’s simple, there’s no tricks. That’s how we make our money and stay alive.

It's a good idea to keep your items up to date. Come back to rentoid and ensure your pricing is still valid and the description / photo is accurate. You are obligated to complete the transaction with the renter once an agreement is reached, so please ensure you are happy with your listings. If you do something sneaky or dishonest karma will haunt you, people will rate you badly and we'll cancel your membership.
Pricing advice:
We recommend the following prices on items which our research shows is best for generating lots of rental transactions:
1 day = 1% of items value
1 Week or weekend = 5% of items value
1 month rental = 10% of items value
This allows seems to be a good model for most items, but of course the final pricing decision is yours. But it makes sense to rent it our often for a lower price, than to charge too much and never rent it out.
If your item is very rare, you may be able to charge a higher rental price, and of course you can change prices whenever you please to adjust for seasonal demand.
You should take care of other people's items. It's also a good idea to return the item on time. Act nice, play nice.
Rentoid simply helps people find each other who have items they'd like to rent. We take the utmost care the facilitate a smooth transaction process between the two parties. But we are not part of the actual rental transaction. We simply connect people. So we can't be responsible for contract performance. We also have no liability resulting from any actions or transactions between any contracting parties on Rentoid. But be certain to contact us if you have any questions relating to this and we'll be happy to assist you.
Rentoid cannot be held liable for any non performance of contract or anything sneaky that transacting parties might try or do. We also are not responsible loss or damages related to the connection to our site.
