Some of our rentoid.com members told us the following was frustrating:

We only allowed a 200 character description of items when listing.

When our members tell us something we listen  - everytime. So now you can write up to 1000 characters on every rentoid listing, which we think should be ample. If it isn’t, let us know.

If you ahve any other suggestions let us know and we’ll get onto it. Although we can’t do them all immediately we certainly try and make improvements where ever suggestion.

Ok, so you’re committed to Earth Hour…

Here’s the rentoid list of top 10 things to do during 8-9pm this Saturday night.

1. Cuddle in bed with someone you love
2. Go for a run, walk or cycle
3. Do some non machine exercise
4. Catch up on some sleep under a cosy blanket
5. Do some gardening - if daylight permits where you live
6. Sit around and talk to your family / friends - even if in the dark
7. Heck tell ghost stories in the dark
8. Play a board game
9. Smother your body in chocloate and let the family dog lick you clean (just checking you’re reading this) - yep it’s a joke… we know ‘rentoiders’ have a sense of humour!
10. Close your eyes and dream mof the future you want for earth and how you’re going to be part of the solution.

Yep, at rentoid.com we’ve just signed up for Earth Hour and are excited that another 18,627 businesses have had the presence of mind to do so.

So what does this mean for rentoid I hear you ask?

It means;

• we won’t answer the phone during earth Hour (8-9pm Saturday Sydney Aust.)
• our office will have all electricity switched off - even our computers
• we ask you not to surf / join or transact on rentoid during this hour (we’re sure it can wait for 60 minutes)
• we are trying to see if we can have our servers turned off as well

and most of all, we’re happy to hear your suggestions on other things we can do to have a positive impact.

We just thought we’d let you know this was fixed in the actual blog entry - not just the comments. By the way it was fixed 30 mins after it happened!

New rentoid members / users. You may have noticed that there is something wrong with a ‘joining’ page at the moment which causes an error…. and doesn’t let you join.

We are working on it this very second, and hope to have it sorted in a couple of hours. We’ll advise immediatly when fixed.
