Find stuff to rent by postcode

leave a comment

We’ve just added a new rentoid feature:

Find items to rent by postcode

(Zipcode to our American rentoiders)

It’s easy - simply type in your postcode or zipcode in the “where” text box while searching for items you’d like to rent. That’s it.

Also be sure to input your postcode / zipcode when joining - or this search feature wont bring up your items to rent to others.

Satellite navigator for rent

leave a comment

This weeks feature item is a quite a bargain;

Satellite Navigator GPS for $10 a day or $40 a week!

tomtom_navigator.gifclick me!

Rent it for your next journey to the other side of town, or driving holiday. Think of the benefits:

  • No need to drive with a road map on your lap
  • No need to risk crashing because you’re lost - and not watching the road
  • No need to argue with your partner over directions
  • Try before you buy

Just makes good sense we reckon.

Already got one, why not list it on rentoid to generate some extra cash?

It can be a real hassel packing for holidays. transporting essential items can make the trip less enjoyable. Not to mention baggage restrictions on airlines these days.

This is where rentoid comes in. Rentoid has nearly anything you might need while travelling from prams, surfboards, bicycles, kids toys to camping equipment.

Why drag them around the country? Get it off rentoid in the town you need it.

Garage Sale

Often real bargains are found at garage sales. People quite literally give away items of real value, just because….

…because they’re moving house, got divorced,  got married or just because they stopped using their treadmill and every time they see it in the corner it makes them feel guilty.

The point is, you can find some great stuff to rent out at little cost to you. You may even be able to get more from renting it once on rentoid than it cost to buy - and still have it to use when you need.

Go go garage sale!

Idle assets

leave a comment

When we think of ‘Assets’ - we think cash, property, car and shares. The truth is, anything that has value in exchange or use is actually an asset. How many items do you have in and around your house or office that don’t get used often as you’d like?

Here’s what we call them at rentoid:           ‘Idle Assets’

rentoid definition: Assets which have value in use or exchange, but cannot be sold for they are required periodically or in the future.

We’re sure a quick survey of your house will expose many ‘idle assets’. It’s free to list them on rentoid (as many as you like) and you can make some money on the side.

Storage problems & rentoid

leave a comment

Put your hand up if you have a spare room full of stuff!

Would it be nice to be able to fit your car in your garage?

garage.jpg

A comment on ‘What color is rentoid’ correctly points out that rentoid might be a way to get our houses back - renting stuff when needed rather than storing it the far-too- common “junk room”.  It might also save us from having to move to a bigger house to store more stuff.  Stuff which we often use only a few times a year.

That’s why we’re here at rentoid - so we can have access to stuff only when we need it.

If purse puppy’s weren’t enough, the latest thing in California Cool is to rent a dog. At first the trend was getting someone to walk your dog, now it’s been reversed to renting a dog to walk.

For all you savvy pet owners out there, here’s an idea - Put your pooch on rentoid.

Outsource your walking to someone who loves dogs & exercise but hasn’t the time to do all the other hard stuff - like feeding it. I’m sure ‘rex’ will be glad you did, and you’ll get paid for being too busy.
